Oh there are soooo many wonderful flipcharts that fantastic teachers have created! And thankfully these teachers have uploaded them to Promethean Planet so that we can download them! You'll quickly find that not every flipchart totally works for you. You may love one page in a flipchart and two or three pages in another flipchart. Here we'll learn how to save pages from various flipcharts and put them together into a flipchart that meets your needs. This same concept can be used for a flipchart page that you might need to use over and over again. You'll be able to save that page to My Flipchart pages and thus retrieve it when needed! Awesome!
To Save a Page into My Flipchart Pages
You will do this if you have a page that you might want to use over and over again, such as a calendar, lunch count, norms, etc.
Open a Flipchart.
Find a page you really like.
In your resource library, highlight My Flipchart Pages. This is important for the next step - what you have highlighed in the resource library is where your page will go.
Hold down the control key and click anywhere on the page (this is the same as right clicking). A window should open with several options. Choose Add to Resource Library/Add Page.
This is what you'll do for any page that you'll want to use again and again. Just save the page to My flipchart page. Eventually you can put them together into your own flipchart!
You might want to consider creating folders within My Flipcharts. That way your pages will be organized with like pages.
Combining Pages from Other Flipcharts
This is handy if you find flipcharts that have a couple of pages that you really like or want to use again to review a topic.
Open a blank flipchart.
Open 2 other flipcharts that have pages in each that you'd like to combine into 1 flipchart.
Navigate to the page in your flipchart that you'd like to save onto a new one.
Now drag that page into the Untitled Flipchart - you'll actually drag it to the tab.
Go to another page in one of your flipcharts and drag it into the tab of the Untitled Flipchart.
When you look at your Untitled Flipchart you should see the pages you just added.
In the Page Browser, you can simply drag your pages around to re-order them.
Save your untitled flipchart. On your title slide it would be nice to give credit to the authors of the flipcharts that you borrowed from.
Deleting a Page
Let's say that you downloaded a wonderful flipchart but there's a page or two that just doesn't work for your students. Maybe it's too difficult or too easy or for some reason you just don't like that page. Here's how to delete it!
